Pontiac Enchanté

Pontiac Enchanté is a year-round classical chamber music concert series based at Venturing Hills Farm in Luskville, Quebec. Established in 2008, the series is hosted in the Venturing Hills Concert Studio—a refurbished hayloft situated above a working horse barn. This unique venue offers an intimate setting for performances, with seating for up to 120 guests, and is nestled against the cliffs of the Eardley Escarpment, adjacent to Gatineau Park .

The transformation of the hayloft into a concert venue utilized reclaimed timber from the Ottawa River, supplied by Log’s End, an Ottawa-based company specializing in retrieving "lost" timber from 19th-century logging operations. This choice reflects the series' commitment to environmental sustainability, a core value that permeates its operations and programming

Duo Concertante brings you “Dark Tales”, a 55-minute composition inspired by five ghost tales of Newfoundland, a presentation based on stories from the book “An Old Man’s Winter Night” by Tom Dawe, with images by Veselina Tomova brought to life with animations by artist Duncan Major, accompanying the dramatic and intense score by Alice Ho.

Projections of Tomova’s haunting life-sized woodcuts accompany Duo Concertante’s performance of Ho’s powerful and evocative music, conveying tales of ghostly galleons, unsettling graves.
