Play with a Pro
Play With A Pro is a two-part program for adult amateur musicians to experience the joy and challenge of making music alongside professional artists in a welcoming, supportive environment.
Part 1: Day-Long Workshop
Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Each participant will receive:
A 30-minute rehearsal with a professional collaborator
A 20-minute coaching session with another professional
Access to observe all other rehearsals and coachings throughout the day
Part 2: Public Performance
Friday, March 6, 2026 | 7:00 PM
Participants will perform the piece they have prepared at the opening concert of Festival Collines-en-musique, a signature regional chamber music event.
Location:
Both the workshop and performance will be held at La Fab sur Mill (8 chemin Mill, Chelsea, QC), a converted historic church featuring a Steinway Model L grand piano, professional lighting, and seating for up to 100 audience members.
Professional Mentors
Additional collaborators may be added depending on participant repertoire.
Who Can Apply
Open to adult amateur musicians (18+) who play music recreationally (i.e., not professionally)
Up to 10 participants will be selected: pianists and woodwind players
Pianists may prepare solo, duet, or collaborative repertoire with either Carson or Juan
Woodwind players will collaborate with Juan and perform with Carson on piano
All participants will be matched with a professional mentor to determine repertoire
Participation Fee
$120 per person
(Payment instructions will be sent upon acceptance.)
